SHIPPING FAQ

 

HOW LONG DO YOU TAKE TO SHIP? 

As many of our items are made to order, we require an average processing time of 2-5 business days (Monday-Friday only, Holidays Excluded) to prepare your items to ship.

Unless you have opted to upgrade your shipping at checkout, we ship all domestic packages 
USPS First Class which on average can take from 2-6 business days (Monday-Friday only, holidays excluded) to be delivered depending on the delivery destination. (Covid-19 related complications may influence these delivery dates) 

ALCHEMY FAIR-TRADE: Pieces purchased from our Alchemy Fair Trade Catalog will ship directly from our makers and may arrive before or after your other items. Shipping information and updates will be sent accordingly. Alchemy Fair-Trade items may take 3-10 days from your order date to ship! Questions? USPS First Class includes package tracking, however, additional services such as Insurance, Signature Confirmation (parcels only), Return Receipts, and Collect on Delivery are NOT included with First Class Packages and must be requested and added for an up-charge.

If you would like to request rushed processing or would like to upgrade your shipping preference please send us a message immediately after you place your order and we will accommodate you the best we can! Please contact us within 12 hours of placing your order so we can send you an invoice for these upgrades. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee these services can be modified.

HOLIDAY BLACKOUT DATES

Especially as a family-owned and operated business, maintaining mental and physical health practices in the workplace is a #1 priority to us. One way we honor this is by drawing a firm boundary between work and play. 

As a result, we have created holiday black out dates to help us reserve a space for family time. Holiday Blackout Dates can be considered NON-business days and while we will be checking in periodically, we are allowing for our schedule to be more flexible during these times and will pick up the majority of production and email correspondence the following business day.

While we will make a concerted effort to ensure orders placed before these dates are fulfilled prior to the holiday break, orders placed slightly before (1-3 days) may be followed up with the following business day.  

If you need to upgrade your shipping method or would like to request rushed processing please let us know as soon as possible and we will accommodate you the best we can!

I PUT THE WRONG SHIPPING ADDRESS ON MY ORDER!

If this occurs please contact us within 24 hours to change the shipping address on the order. We do not assume responsibility for any orders lost that shipped to the wrong address due to customer error nor do we issue any refunds.

Be sure to check twice before submitting the information on your order!

 

I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY ORDER BUT MY TRACKING SAYS IT'S BEEN "DELIVERED"

Please first complete the following steps:

  1. Confirm you entered the correct delivery address on your order.
  2. Ask neighbors if they may have received the package.
  3. Ask your local letter carrier where he may have delivered the package.
  4. Check common areas if you live in a duplex or series of apartment buildings or even in obscure areas around your porch such as in plants and under furniture that your package may have blown off into. 


Please keep track of your delivery day.
We highly recommend opting for a confirmation signature if you suspect your delivery address is not secure or find your USPS delivery service to be unreliable.

Ultimately It is the buyers responsibility to provide a secure place for dropping off their parcels. Package Theft is not covered with shipping insurance and we will not accept responsibility to cover the cost to replace the items at our expense.

 

PROBLEM WITH YOUR ORDER?

BEFORE opening a case or leaving negative feedback, please send us a message to our service email at alchemyabstractcustomercare@gmail.com . We deeply value the satisfaction of our customers and aim to ensure that you have the best experience possible, please give us a chance to make it right and we will be sure to help in any way we can!

***Please allow us up to 24 hours on business days and a little extra time on weekends for a thoughtful response, we travel often and are not always connected to the internet but we try to check as often as possible!

RETURNS

General Returns & Exchanges

We will accept general returns or exchanges for up to 14 days after the delivery of your order. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. 

To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be unused/unworn and in the same condition that you received it. 

Breakage / Damaged: Because of the nature of our earring-making process, they do have some special requirements that are sometimes overlooked. If you received a defective pair or experienced a break please first review our maintenance and preservation section to see if any of these scenarios may apply to your situation. If none apply please do not hesitate to send us a message to AlchemyAbstractCustomerCare@gmail.com and we'll be happy to assist!

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software products

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)

- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

REFUNDS (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

EXCHANGES (if applicable)
We only replace used items within 30 days of delivery if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at alchemyabstractcustomercare@gmail.com and send your item to:

GIFTS
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you opt to receive a refund and request a return label, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are unsure about the security of the delivery destination, we highly recommend purchasing upgraded priority shipping with and/or requiring a signature delivery and shipping insurance.

We do not accept financial responsibility for items that have been lost in transit or stolen.
